United We Dream Action PAC reaches over 54 Million Voters in Battleground States
Washington, D.C. – To close out Election Day, United We Dream Action PAC is leaving it all out in the field. Tonight we celebrate reaching over 54 million low-propensity and undecided Latinx, youth and first-time voters across the country through our largest-ever voter engagement campaign. Through these efforts, we can proudly say that immigrant youth have been a key part of achieving historic voter turnout in battleground states.
Through the Here To Stay 2020 campaign, immigrant youth mobilized voters to defeat Trump and his Republican allies and to elect candidates proven to be champions for immigrant communities. Through our one-of-a-kind “Here To Stay Squad,” volunteers sent over 660,000 texts and over 132,000 calls to voters in states like Arizona, Florida, North Carolina, California, Oklahoma, and Colorado.
We also told powerful stories of voters that shaped the narrative of this election. Our digital ads stood out from the typical election ads we’re used to seeing because they told the story of first time voters who were voting for their undocumented family members.

“Immigrant youth have been a unique and powerful force in mobilizing voters across the country to defeat Trump. Through our Here To Stay 2020 campaign, our community has worked tirelessly to encourage voters to use their electoral power to fight back against Trump’s racist, anti-immigrant agenda and to vote out the Republicans who enabled him. We’re already seeing some of those results publicly as over 8 million Latinx voters have voted early, compared to about 3.7 million in 2016 at this time. Nearly 800,000 of those voters are young Latinx under the age of 30.
During this election cycle, immigrant youth also demanded greater protections for all immigrants from their elected officials, ensuring that whoever represents them in Congress or other elected seats are ready to deliver for immigrant communities.
As we prepare to follow the results of the most consequential election of our lifetime, we celebrate the work our leaders and volunteers, the historic turnout of youth and Latinx voters, and the impact that immigrant youth have already achieved in changing the politics on immigration by pushing Democratic candidates to commit to stopping deportations in the primary and the Biden campaign to commit to introducing legislation to provide a pathway to citizenship for all undocumented immigrants and stopping deportations in the first 100 days. If Biden wins, we are ready to hold his administration accountable.
