Washington, D.C. – As the midterm elections approach, United We Dream Action (UWDA) has made it their mission to expose the truth about the Republican candidate for U.S. Senate in Arizona, Blake Masters. UWDA’s latest ad brings to light Masters’ extremist xenophobic comments and right-wing agenda.
Masters has dedicated his campaign to perpetuating former President Trump’s ‘Big Lie’, anti-abortion sentiments and harmful immigrant conspiracy theories of Democrats’ plan to ‘import new voters.’ The ad places an emphasis on Masters’ targeted attacks on the 600,000 immigrant youth who were lucky enough to receive deportation and detention protections from the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) in order to show Arizonans who Masters really is—a dangerous anti-immigrant candidate not fit to represent the diverse state of Arizona.
Michelle Ming, Political Director of United We Dream Action, said:
“Arizona is home to over 23,000 mixed status families who deserve to feel protected and properly represented by their elected officials, and Blake Masters is unfit to fulfill that position. He has maintained and validated false claims about the 2020 election, the same claims that led to the attack on our capitol on January 6, in addition to pushing the same dangerous rhetoric used by the shooters in the Buffalo and El Paso shootings. Blake Master’s views are too dangerous for Arizonans.
Not to mention that Blake Masters has spent the past two months scrubbing his campaign website of the most extremist claims and views on abortion in a last-ditch attempt to appeal to moderate voters in hopes no one would notice. But we did, and we’re here to tell Arizonians the truth because they deserve an honest, just Senator—Masters isn’t that.”
